• CRYPToCRACk's PE Protector v0.9.3 - a simple and leightweight PE protector (sorry, binary only, I'm working on a complete rewrite which will most likely be released under a open source license but I'm quite busy these days)

Recommended Software

This is a list of software I use daily or at least consider to be very useful. Please notice that I mainly use GNU/Linux (Arch Linux, Debian, Slackware) and OpenBSD on my workstations. Useful tools for Microsoft Windows are listed further below.

• zsh - the most powerful shell ever!
• screen - a full-screen window manager that multiplexes a physical terminal between several processes
• vim - an advanced, modal text editor
• getmail - a mail retriever for one or more mail accounts (used as a replacement for fetchmail)
• procmail - an MDA used to sort incoming mail into separate mailboxes
• mutt - the mail client that sucks less
• uzbl - a leightweight and extensible WebKit-based browser
• calcurse - a nice curses calendar/PIM
• irssi - a terminal based IRC client for UNIX systems
• Pidgin - multi-platform instant messaging client
• mplayer - a free and open source media player that plays lots of different media formats
• TeX and LaTeX - a high-quality typesetting system
• xwax - open-source vinyl emulation software for Linux

Windows tools:

• Sysinternals Process Explorer - shows information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded
• Sysinternals Process Monitor - an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity
• OllyDbg - a 32-bit assembler level analysing debugger for Microsoft Windows
• PEiD - detects most common packers, cryptors and compilers for PE files

DJ Equipment/Setup

• 2x Pioneer CDJ-200
• Stanton STR8-150 with a Serato Control Vinyl
• Pioneer DJM-400
• ESI MAYA44 USB
• Reloop RHP-10

I'm using Serato vinyls, the MAYA44 audio interface and xwax (see above) for vinyl emulation. A phono preamp is not necessary since the Stanton STR8-150 already provides a Line output. Unfortunately I don't own a 4 channel mixer yet so I need to use the DJM-400's input selector switch to switch between my CDJs and xwax's audio output. The diagram below shows the full setup.
